About Jira Day by Deviniti

Deviniti is an Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner. The only one in Poland specialized in ITSM and Cloud. Our partnership with Atlassian is something we are proud of – that is why we launched the Jira Day by Deviniti event in 2013 year.

The Jira Day by Deviniti event is not only about Jira®., as you may think. During the 11 years of organizing this event, we found that it brings together people with broader interests in the Atlassian ecosystem. You can also find topics related to Enterprise, ITSM, Cloud, Agile/DevOps, or Work Management.

Experts from all over the world found Jira Day by Deviniti to be an excellent opportunity to expand their horizons in this field. Only in 2023, we had 22 partners.

The speakers who performed on our stage are true experts. Only last year, we had +40 expert speakers onboard, including licensed Scrum.org trainer Kate Hobler, Rodney Nissen owner of The Jira Guy blog, Chris Moojen – Global Head of Enterprise Sales at Atlassian, Sven Peters – Lead Developer Advocate at Atlassian, Vlad Cavalcanti – Channel Team Manager at Atlassian or Claudia Reforgiato – Mission Director, Migrations – Atlassian, Miro Capka – Head of Technical Partner Management, Marketplace Partnerships – Atlassian and many other wonderful guests.

During the event, in addition to lectures, you can also take part in twenty-minute demos of Jira®. applications and plug-ins. History of the Jira Day by Deviniti

Start & rebranding

Everything started as a small one-day conference in the 2013 year. The name of the event was InTENSO Jira Day. Why InTENSO? That’s how our company was named back then. It is important to mention it there because the Jira Day conference in 2018 was the annual time when we announced the change of the company name to Deviniti (Devine + Infinity = Deviniti).

During the first opening meeting of the conference in 2018, participants were informed about the rebranding of the company. It was a very interesting moment because stickers with the new company name were placed under the chairs. Participants could stick on their ID badges. In addition, everyone received gadgets with the Deviniti logo, including bags or pens. Then it became official – a Software House called Deviniti, based in Wrocław, appeared in the peoples’ minds.

Series of events

We have to admit that at the beginning of the Jira Day event history, it was supposed to be an event that would take place only once. However, the interest in this event from people from all over the world and the optimistic feedback from the participants made us decide to organize the event next year.

The positive response from Atlassian ecosystem enthusiasts exceeded our expectations. And so, winning the hearts of Jira fans, our one-time idea turned into a recurring event that has been going on for 11 years.

During this time, the event space also evolved. First, from a conference room, in 2018 it was moved to the Legia Stadium in Warsaw. And already in 2019 at the National Stadium (today named PGE Narodowy) in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland.

Remote Editions

The years 2020 and 2021 were a challenge. Due to the global pandemic, we were unable to organize a live event. We decided to move it online. It was a good move, as 1,736 people registered for the two-day online event in 2020. And the following – 2021- year, our second fully remote edition of the event gathered nearly 1,500 Jira enthusiasts and over 700 of them were on our spaceship for at least one day.

Spending two days in front of their monitors during the conference can be quite taxing. It’s common to feel the urge to get up and move around, even during the most captivating presentations. We understand this challenge, which is why we collaborated with our Health Ambassador, Maciej Ogrodnik. In Deviniti we stand for well-being, so Maciej ensured our a series of exercises between the lectures.

Back to the offline meetings

The 10th edition in 2022 was important to us. After 2 years, we could finally meet again in person. It reminded us that online presentations can’t replace talking and having fun together, even during times of remote work. The conference gathered around 350 participants from over 20 countries in 74 lectures. It took place at the Norblin Factory in Warsaw. Due to its historical background, organizing an event at the Norblin Factory was challenging, yet we acknowledge that the effort paid off.

The 11th edition of Jira Day in 2023, was held at the prestigious CKF_13 Fabryczna Conference Center. What makes CKF_13 unique are its cutting-edge amenities and its prime location in the beautiful city of Cracow, Poland. We had +40 expert talks and +400 participants from all over the world.

The event offered a significant understanding of IT service management, digital transformation, and the optimal use of Atlassian tools. Participants were engaged in a vibrant setting that allowed for learning, interaction, and connection with leading experts in the field. Additionally, the evening’s inaugural “Night Talk” centered on AI, brought an additional dimension of enthusiasm to this year’s gathering.

Today, Jira Day is the biggest Atlasian-related event in this part of Europe. Only in 5 last years, we have gained 3586 participants from all over the world.

Charity

Although in Deviniti we shoot for the stars and like cosmic references, we deeply care for issues that concern our planet, Earth. That’s why during Jira Day 2021 we joined forces with the Las na Zawsze charity and decided to plant 1 square meter of forest for every event attendant. What’s the result? This fall, our team will plant 3000 square meters of forest. Why 3000? Our Deviniti Cares foundation doubled the number of attendants to help the planet even more.
Since then, we decided that all income from the conference kits (included in the normal ticket) will be donated to our CSR activities. In 2022 and 2023 we helped Fundacja Ratujmy Pszczoły (Save the Bees Foundation). Thank you to all the participants for your engagement in to environment!
